Episode 2 Rough Draft is DONE!

I HAVE FINISHED EPISODE 2!

Jeez, Louise, that was a marathon. There was a whole lot of write - take out - write more - take out - rethink theme - take out - character revelation - rewrite, etc.

It's 59,000 words long, which is 9,000 words longer than I thought it would be, but the natural break is right there.

The good news is that, because I wrote some scenes ahead, I'm about 25% done with Episode 3.

Hey: Here's some of Episode 1, a sneak peek!

The crowd at The Devilhouse’s audition party roamed like a herd of well-dressed wildebeests milling around several alcoholic watering holes.

Over the packed heads at the party, one man stared back at [Lizzy].

He stood against the wall near the windows that overlooked the city sparkling in the night. His jet black hair fell silky-smooth over his shoulders, and his hot blue eyes locked on hers. His black suit did nothing to slim his muscled body, though the fabric clung to his rounded shoulders and moved like it was from a high-end designer. Lizzy had learned a few things about expensive men’s fashions while working at a club with a six-figure initiation fee.

When the guy shifted his weight, Lizzy could tell from across the room that he was musclebound under his clothes. His cheekbones and jawline were sharp slashes, and his broad shoulders cut a stark inverted triangle out of the white wall behind him. One tendril of a black tattoo reached out of his white collar and up his tanned neck.

He was still staring at her.

Wow.

Even from fifty feet away and over the crowd of heads, Lizzy could see that his fiery eyes were the color of blue-hot stars.

Lizzy bet that guy could distract her from her current Dom-obsession. She could practically see heat mirage lines coming off him because that man smoldered.

  1. My god. I just read through 1-9 in 2 days, I have hardly done anything else. You made me fall truly in love with Wolf yet managed to make a heroine who although I didn't feel as though I was her (the ideal in any erotica I read) I damn well didn't hate her and I may have even liked her! I know you're working on the Lizzie series which I'm sure will suck me in and make me fall in love all over again but I must admit to being quite heartbroken that there's no more Wulf and Rae to read, at this moment I just can't imagine life without them. Oh well, back to the beginning I go. Sigh.

  2. Thank you so much for your kind comment, Cherry! Several of the scenes in Lizzy's book are in Wulf's POV, and I didn't realize how much I miss him. He is one of kind, huh? ~~Blair
